IMANI wins for the sixth time this year. “Special Jury Mention” Prize at the Durban International Film Festival 2010. IMANI was the only film from Africa outside S.A to be nominated as a competition film and has now been awarded.

IMANI won two awards of the 7th edition of Tarifa African Film Festival.

“Best Full Length Feature Film Director” for Director Caroline Kamya and her film IMANI. For its freshness and subtlety, which manifests the capacity of the new generation of African filmmakers to express their vision of the world.

“Best Actress in Full Length Feature” for lead actress Rehema Nanfuka. For her gentle and congenial interpretation of a woman trapped in a difficult life situation.

We are happy to announce that IMANI has been officially selected for ECRANS NOIRS Film Festival in Cameroon. The theme is “Cinema and Literature” promoting films from the Central African Region. This is the first time that a film from Uganda has ever been screened at the festival.

We are happy to announce that IMANI has been officially selected for the Tarifa African Film Festival in Spain. This is an important film festival that highlights top tier films from the African continent.

We are pleased to announce that IMANI has been officially selected for the U.S Premiere at the prestigious Seattle International Film Festival in May 2010.
